Robyn uses an integrated approach to psychotherapy, combining elements of emotionally-focused, experiential, and cognitive-behavioural approaches. She believes that her training in these complementary techniques helps her to adapt her interventions to the unique needs of each of her clients, to help them meet their goals. Robyn works with her clients to establish a therapeutic relationship that is built on trust, collaboration, openness, acceptance, and respect.
In addition to her clinical work at the OCFI, Robyn is a part-time supervisor at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research, at the University of Ottawa, where she supervises the work of PhD students in the Clinical Psychology Program. Robyn regularly participates in continuing education opportunities, attending conferences, trainings and workshops to help her provide effective, evidence-based services to her clients. She is currently a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
